Our Style and Approach
The photography world is very good at putting labels, like contemporary, documentary, reportage, fine art or even 'alternative' against a wedding photographers' name. In reality all these styles are important at different times throughout the big day.
I work for you to capture the whole day (documentary/reportage), keeping an eye on the details (fine art/product). I like to work with the natural light and perspective to add unique images to the collection (contemporary/alternative).
What is most important to me (and hopefully you) is the relationship we develop. I want you to feel relaxed and confident with your photographer(s). We will plan and prepare together before the big day. Where it is possible we will have a pre-wedding shoot (at no additional cost) so that you are comfortable being my 'centre of attention' and so that you don't have to feel too posed on the day. I will give you both advice on how to stand and sit together comfortably and naturally for the camera.
We will not intrude on your day, but for group shots we will take around 40 minutes to an hour with your guests to make sure that you get the images you want, with the people you want. The rest of the time we will interact with appropriate humour and chat whilst remaining respectful and as much as possible in the background.
